Make sure you honk on the I-5 as you go over the American River. We will be rafting up with a few boats on Thursday just up from the bridge.

Wait til you get back up north and realize how bad the drivers are up there! :D Friggin' people drive 40MPH and leave 300 feet between them and the car in front of them. Then they want to put you in jail if you "cut in front of them" and use some of the football field space they leave up front.
You'll be wishing you were back down in LA in no time. Plus the folks up north will be givin' you sheot about calling the freeways "the 680", "the 580", "the 80" (putting "the" in front of every freeway number is a SoCal kinda thang).
Watch out for all the lefties in the Bay Area

Ok so it took like 8 hours but I made it..
Wow there was a bunch of traffic in LA. I left at noon and it took 2 hours to get to Castaic..
Only about 6 accidents on the way two were pretty nasty.
One a VW bug and a big rig... and another a Honda that got the better of a Ford Explorer. Ford Explorer on its roof, passenger compartment completely munched in front...
Oh well good to be home... now look out on Folsom and the Sacto River... here I come!

In 1925, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials set the guidelines for numbering interstates and U.S. highways.
Three-digit road numbers beginning with an odd number branch off the main interstate
inquiring minds need to know...:D
