I buy lot's of props (more than I would like to admit) and I have never heard of such a program. I'd say you are going to have to make friends with someone in the business and then test props based on that relationship but, I could be wrong? Somebody'll know.

I'll be picking up one of my props from York next week, I'll ask him if he does demo/loaners. I don't think he does though....

Try Demo props (http://www.mercurymarine.com/dealerlocator) . Select Demo Props from Mercury Product line menu. This will show participating shops in your area.

Call Kevin over at R & R Prop Shop (http://www.randrpropshop.com) in Henderson, NV. He has a pretty good inventory of used/consignment stuff, as well as new. He will usually let someone try a used/consignment prop with a deposit. Great guy, knows his shit, can fix what you break, make your prop do what you want, has great turn around, etc. 702-564-7502.

I gotta give a big two thumbs up to York as well. He does incredible work on props. He's pretty much a one man show so he doesn't have that much time to devote to websites. He has done a lot of work for race teams.

Yeah, like RC said, he's a one man show. He estimates that he's done about 60,000 props over the years. He's currently running about a two week back-log. So he really doesn't need more publicity. That being said, he does awesome work, and unlike other big name prop shops in So Cal, I've never heard a bad thing about him.
