I saw a ford dually crew diesel this morning on the 91 fwy, it had at least a 6 in lift with HUGH ASS mud terrain tires.....
looked very cool and different.
What do think you would loose in gas milage with
lifted dually w/35s vs non lifted dually w/35??
I used to have a standard F-250 diesel 1999 with
a 6 inch lift w/35s and would average 15-17mpg just doing some comparing.

What did he do to make it look different? I see those exact trucks everywhere:rolleyes:
If you can keep your foot out of it, those diesels actually like a larger tire on the freeway. If you do a lot of city driving it's gonna go way down though since that's a lot of rolling mass to get moving from a dead stop:)

The duallys come with 410 gears so I think it works out pretty good. Most Superdutys come with 373. I have a buddy in Orange with a white one with 35 mud BFGs.

I have abuddy with a lifted dually he actually has the same lift as mine. He lost a couple of mpgs but said it was not bad at all. I get about 14mpg with mine right now. 6.5" lift (fabtech w/ bilsteins) 35"tires (procomp xterrain) My next truck will be lifted dually,, they definitely look tough.

Want to see cool trucks? Look up chromewheel.com. I have a 2003 Dodge dually with a 4" lift and 22.5 semi-wheels and tires on it from this guy. It gets all the looks!

JetBoatRich has that exact truck and has been getting all the info together to lift it. It should look awesome when done.

what the hell it is only money and you can take it with you:eek:
Last quote was in the neighborhood of $3,100 for lift tires, etc.
