Owned by the same people that own Essex, but it is a separate company. More of an entry level boat when compared to the Essex. Using General Motors as an example, Essex = Cadillac, Laser = Chevrolet.

I checked them out when I was going to buy new. Everything is thru bolted and fit and finish was real nice. They build the boat themselfs from top to bottom, I got a tour of the place and they are heavy boats too. A Laser 23' will be havier than any other 23' out there, same goes for the other sizes.

I have a 22'. And as said above, it's a great entry level boat. I boat mostly at Mohave and Parker and have had no problems getting where i need to go. It's pretty solid and has everyting i need. i have had it for a little over 2 years now and will go bigger the first chance i get.

River 918's boat is out of his price range. He wants to spend around 55,000-60,000. Which about the price he would pay for a brand new Laser.

I'd be flat out amazed if he could get a new 25 Tremor for that kind of money. They cost that much 2 1/2 years ago when I was shopping for a new boat.

We looked at shockwave when we were boat shoping and it was about 65,000 for the 25' with all the goodies

With what power? A 350 Mag or 6.2?
No joke. Summer of 2003 I was quoted right around 58K for a 25 mid cabin open bow with a 496 Mag. That was with just the basics. No options.

Last I checked the boat with everything is 62K RETAIL STICKER at the boat show
WHO THE HELL PAYS RETAIL STICKER
Now granted all boat manufactures take 5,10,15,20% off
i would not settle for anything less than 10% off.
With that said that drops the price to $55,800.00
tax 2232 because they are running an add that they will pay for 1/2 the sales tax that brings the total to $58,032.00 OTD
That is with standard power 496MAG and a standard stereo C/D 4 speakers
