It seems like lately my milage has dropped. I've heard from others that the new low sulfer diesel has decreased milage and I'm curios if there is any truth to that. I seem to recall getting 2-4 more MPG than I'm currently getting.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope, but I will look at it more closely. The problem being is that my truck is not yet broke in, so hard to get accurate consistent numbers.

Lies!!! has not changed for me.

Make sure you use a good injector cleaner.I like Lucas Injector cleaner and upper cylinder lubracant. Also change your air filter often.Anytime I see my milage drop I put a new filter in.You'd be suprised at how much performance and milage you can loose from dirty air filter.

ditto......check your injectors....

Mine is hard to tell because I lifted it around the same time all the changes in the fuel happened. I only went to 35" tires... but I used to avarage around 16MPG all around.. and sometimes even hit 21MPG highway... and now all I see is 12.1MPG city or highway

(Duramax LBZ) I lost an instant 4 mpg after having the "gloplug recalibration" recall done. Obviously it was more of a fuel mapping change. It runs better but lost mileage. It is now in the "normal" range compared to other people I talk to. Still good but not amazing like before. It is way more sensitive fuel consumption wise, to acceleration or pulling a load now.

whats up with the chevys???
Maybe photoglou can help us out....I want to pull the trigger on one when they come out!

No change..run Lucas cleaner also. But its a Ford...what would you expect?

My 6.0 PSD just threw a turbo. When the dealer took it apart it was all rusted out. They said it is fairly common thing now that the ultra-low suphur diesel is the only thing available. The dealer told me to make sure to always use a cetane booster, and at least once a week to make sure and really jump on ity and blow the crap out of the system. Good thing this happened while it was still under warranty!!!
