Went to Perris lake on 5/18, and there were some nice boats for a change. Cigarette, Sleek Craft, Ultra, Laser Boats, Water Rods, Warlock, Eliminator, and of my Cheetah, with many others too! Heres a pic of the cigarette.

how does perris compare to elsinore? Is it bigger?

Nice pic. I spent the day a Perris today. Had to make sure my boat actually floats after a year on the trailer. Really nice most of the day. As always I'm a day late and a dollar short, I missed the big boys by one day. Probably a good thing though, they mighta swamped my lil ride. One bad thing about Perris? You can't drink beer there? WTF?

Have you seen the H2 (Hummer) that guy tows the Cig? It's lifted beyond belief. We saw him towing that boat out of the steep ramp at Oceanside. I think his next new toy will be a 1 ton truck.
-
Lake Perris is OK, as long as you time your laps around the island so that the Sheriff is on the other side. This way you can do quick acceleration runs.
As for the Cigarette, I also saw it at Oceanside at the flushing station. I think it had HP575SCi engines. Nice...

saw that guys h2 hummer at havasu. it gives a lifted truck a new meaning. you need an elevator to get in his truck. eek!
-
Clown was that you driving around the island doing some sprint runs looked like you were dialing in your boat? We were there also , maybe you saw us. MVG

The pic did not come up for me, but if it is the Playboy copy with the white H-2, he is running 800's. I have a picture of it at the flushing station at O'side. That is the second Playboy copy that I have seen in the area in the past two seasons.

I saw you most when I was hanging out at the bouys by the ramp waiting for a buddy of mine.

Mand, yeah it got a little rough, but served it's purpose of me making sure the boat was running good enough to go to the river. Had a little problem with my water not going throught the headers but figured it out. I do recognize your ride, looks even better in person. i'll look for ya next time I go out there

Formula Dude,
When I was getting my Cheetah out of the water, I noticed the trailer next to me had to be for the cig. This trailer was quite big, had saltwater damage on the bottom, and a huge crew cab chevy, all chrome suspension lifted 10'. This had to be the cig's ride home. Nice boat, nice truck, and when I heard the boat take off, it was like listening to a full blown dragster!
Awesome ride..

The picture worked for me this time. that is the same boat I have a picture of in O'side, it was behind a white H-2 then. I saw the motors in Havasu during the poker run, and they appeared to be merc 800 sc's.
The "real" playboy boats have Platinum 500 efi's, platinum drives and tabs. My friend towed the original one to Florida from So.Cal and said the attention it got was incredible.
I still can't believe that they launched that thing at Perris, that is worse than Parker for that size boat. Do they still have a speed limit there?

Another...

BTW: It is for sale for 175k...it is a 2000 model.
-
How many hours on the engines? What does it run with the 500's?
-
Cig1 could probably say for sure, but I think that the duplicate Playboy Cig may have pfaff motors in it.
-
I think it will run mid 80's with the 500's. It is listed on Boat Trader online.
SR,
When I saw the motors in Havasu it was running the black blowers with the dual carb setup like the older merc sc's. I thought it said 800 sc on the top, but I could be wrong.

I met that guy and his wife at the LA Boat Show. "Sammy" is his name, cool guy. Said he smoked a motor at the Fall 2002 poker run then took it to Teague for complete rebuilds.
I said "it sucks when you run out of money beacuase everything keeps breaking"
His reply was..."money's not an issue, it just sucks when you break"
Geesh
:D :D :D
-
Damn,
Does Sammy have a few extra C notes, my engine needs a procharger! :D

Havasu Cig:

-
Could be wrong, but the first picture of the Cig. looks like a Cafe Racer? Playboy wann be?
-
I think it is a Cafe Racer (cig has changed the name of the 35 a few times), but they are both 35's. They went back to the name "mistress" for the 35. The copy is a conventional non stepped hull.
