Boatshu, thanks for the update. We were worried about him as it did not look good watching him in the water. We spent quite a bit of time talking about that on the drive home that night. With all the great racing that we saw that day we still could not get him off of the front of our minds.

Well this all is great news for # 44 and I take it that the other two drivers invovled in accidents will be fine also. I am glad to hear the rescue boat was having problems going to the scene and not just lack of response time due to procedures or what ever. Thanks to everyone for the updated info and I wish #44 God speed on his recovery. 79

when we were in drivers meeting on sunday, they said that the reason for the rescue boat taking so long to get to the 44 boat was because the prop got wrapped around the rope of an achor that was left behind by someone. when the rescue boat took off after the 44 boat the rope got caught around the prop it reeled up the rope and actually brought the anchor up out of the water and swung and almost seriously hurt one of the rescue personel on the boat. it was a freak deal.

Any word on the SS-44 driver? I hope that he is progressing as hoped.

Heard it was still too soon. Hopefully the news improves today.
