We're 1 week into our 2 month trip thru Canada and Alaska. Missing the warmer weather in Ca, went thru a snowstorm yesterday. Close to the Yukon Territory today. Wanted to do some gold prospecting but the water is frozen in places and where it is running is is ice cold. Came across a grizzley bear and 8 black bears this week. Wolves were howling close to our camp 2 days ago. Showers in camp cost a loonie, I thought that was a token you got from the camp host. He said a loonie is their dollar coin, has a loon on it. Everything seems to be 500 miles apart thru endless beautiful mountains, thats what we love. I'll post a pic. of the bears later.
