I just bought one of the Garmin ETrex gps's online from Target. they charged me 9.99 for shipping, then charged tax on the total with shipping and handling. That seams like a ripoff to me.

It is but it happens all the time, my vendors at work do it all the time:mad:
You get taxed if they are "selling" from your state, I've had this from several big stores...best buy, circuit city, but I usually avoid the S&H by doing the "Store Pickup". It's a rip but what can you do?
yep that is a ripoff you shouldn't be charged tax on the shipping
It's a revenue generator for them. Squeeze some extra money out. Shipping is a service and therefore not taxed.
