On a normally aspirated 496 in a 22ft. inboard outboard, how much compression can you run and be safe with aviation 100 ll gas?
That depends a lot on the cam you have, if you have a lot of overlap you will bleed off compression. I ran 12.5 in my 440 and I mixed 50/50 LL100 with 92 skunk piss with 36 lead with no problems!....

Hey Gofast, you ran 36 degrees total? Why did you mix the 92( piss gas) with the av gas?
I plan on running LL100 in my bbc. heres my cam.

108 lobe

As I said, with a lot of overlap you bleed off compression that's why I didn't have to run it straight!. With a 108 centers you have a lot of overlap, sounds like a street cam you have there!.:)
