RunnerBottom is different than a "true" FlatBottom. A "true" FlatBottom is a FlatBottom! A RunnerBottom is similar but has runners going down the middle section of the boat, to allow it to ride on a cushion of air.

The plates on the outside are up higher this lets air go out the back
