Wild Lavy. My hull is a Marlin Cearo. I'm sure
I'd be flying too. :D
I 'm with you 25Elim. I would really like to see how my little 24
V-bottom would handle offshore. Somday I will hopefully.
like to see that trailer mashed. Any boat
larger than mine is a big boat. LOL.
2prop has a good point. Boats are too
expensive but you buy what you can.
We'll never stop dreaming , no matter
what we have now.
Just glad to see some balance in the types
of boats talked about. I think both 18' jets
with totally chromed engines hangin out and
35' offshores with twin are both very cool.
I'd like to have...
I have used the same username on both
boards. The offshore section here was
A big zero. Not any more !!
If you change your oil alot you can use dino
oil in straight weight. If you are lazy use
multi- grade synthetic. My .02 cents.
I have heard that positive valve seals
are better than the umbrella type on
performance engines.
As long as we don't include bass boats
I'm happy, yes I know some are quite
fast.
After I bought my sternjack I was informed
in the instructions that they recommend a
high performance gimbal ring. I Don't
remember the cost. It was not cheap. Just
something to check out. Hope...
What is the best? What do the pros use?
What do board members use? Please give
filter numbers for bbc.
Thanks Slowride.
Closed decks leave space for out of weather
storage. Privacy is also important. The
decks of closed bow boats have better lines.
My .02 cents. Slowride.
If you don't have to race a canoe to win,
your in. Some would say, if you can't beat
a wave runner. YOUR OUT !!!

Those numbers are sweet to me. My marlin 240
cearo with a naturally aspirated 540 ci and
sternjack only hit 74 mph GPS. I estimate hp
at the prop at 510. Is your hull a 7ft. beam

My marlin hull may be similar to yours.
What year is your boat? What engine and
HP do you have? RPM with the 27 prop?
Is your speed reading GPS? Maybe we can
compare.

Thanks ponponracing
hard to believe that so many years have gone
by since I bought my boat. still seems like
it`s new to me.

Thanks for correcting me on bravo blowout.
My drive is an 88 model. Is there a change
in the newer bravo,s stock nose?
Inboards are usually easier for the average
boater to maintain and work on. They are
very similar to your car engine. BB in a
18ft. bowrider, hang on!!!
Hope you like your first boat as much as I...
Installed the hydromotive cone on my bravo 1.
Since the blowout of the bravo is around
80 m.p.h. I did`t notice anything. Maybe
someday soon it will be worth it.

have one on my 24ft. the work was done by
local marina. gained 5 mph. I don`t think
it will be much help with your rough ride.
you have to have exstensions welded to
your trim rams. they...
I agree with fat rat. my boats faster than
your boat? well maybe. EGO!!! drives us.
although it may just be a love of speed.
50/50. my .02$
