    396 and 427 cranks are interchangeable, but the 427 has a larger counterweight in the middle.

    No harm done, mister460 (but it DID come off that way) - apology accepted FULLY - Like I said, at least I learned something out of it, so that makes it worthwhile anyway...... guess I'll get back to work on my rig - hope to splash her by this summer......just my luck I'm running a 454 - those cranks won't help me!!!! lol Oh well, if it helps somebody else, I've done my job.... http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
