I was watching MTV news this morning and saw a clip of a music video by Chris Rock the comedian. It is a spoof of a Black Eyed Pees song “hey ya”. His song is called Cracker, a derogatory racial slang used for the white man. MTV news seems to be praising this song. Now I like Chris Rock as a comedian and I am not really offended by the song, but I can’t help but think what would happen if a white comedian made a song called nigger and had it in the main stream media. Do you really think MTV would be playing it or supporting it?? I don’t think so? Why is it that racism is ok only if it’s against whites?? Has everyone gone completely P.C?? And this isn’t even P.C, I would argue that P.C. would be giving everyone equal rights and there is no way I would get away with having a racist song in main stream media. Sorry guys I just had to vent.

Because white people dont get offended being called a "Cracker." We grew up with the saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me."
P.S. Chris Rock is one funny Nigga.
I think Chris Rock is funny, and I don't think many people know what Cracker means or where it came from...
Mud, im not offended, it just seems funny that non-whites may say whatever they want.

I was just joking, I totally agree with you about the reverse racism.

I can tell you that people around here know exactly what it means and where it came from, and most would not let it slide if heard in public or in a bar, Just as no self respecting black man should tolerate the N word in public either.
To me that shit is just not funny.
