The Hot Boat forums is an on line community where boaters can gather, trade knowledge and discuss issues both boating related or otherwise.

Rules For Posting/ Viewing the Hot Boat Forums:
1. No person under the age of 18 is allowed to post, view or register in the Hot Boat Forums.
2. No nude photos, pornography or links that link directly to pages that contain nude photos or pornographic content.
3. Respect the moderators if they ask you to remove or change content.
4. No selling items in the forums. If you wish to sell a part please sign up as a member to the Hot Boat site and place a classified AD. Members Area | Classifieds Area
5. Sometimes a post or thread gets out of hand or contains content that Moderators find questionable or overly abrasive. In that case the thread or post may be edited/ deleted with or without warning.

B. The tech forums are for posting about boating topics only as shown by the forum title. For instance the Stereo forum should contain all information and questions about stereo equipment, but not an argument about the state of California.
C. The Events calendar is for posting upcoming events that relate to boating. If you know of an event that is coming up then PM a moderator or one of the following event editors to see if they will place the event for you.

Image/Avatar/Signature Line Rules:
Due to the size an popularity of the Hot Boat forums we have some rules about the size of images, Avatars and Sig lines. Limiting image size's and signature lines both saves bandwidth, speeds up viewing of the site and increases readability of the site.
Images. Please resize images that you post or attach to a thread to no larger than 750 pixels wide. If you wish to have a larger photo then make a link to the photo that people can click on. This will save the bandwidth and page load time each time someone views the thread.
Avatars. Please limit your avatar to no more than 150 pixels wide by 150 pixels high and no more than 40K for images hosted on the ***boat.com site. If you image is hosted on your bandwidth please keep the image to 135 pixels wide by 100 high and no more than 100k. People on dial-up will thank you.
Signature Lines. Signature lines must be no more than 3 lines of text high and can contain one photo that must be less than 30k. You may have links to other websites in your signature line but you may not have promotional language. Below are two examples of what is allowed and what is not allowed. Please be mindful of others and the readably of the site.
