Got to thinking today, I put $12k into a new motor for the boat, another $3k in trailer upgrades. Then today it really sinks in. I have maybe put 10 hours on it since late april, have not used it in 60 days now.

With that little money into it I wouldn't worry about it. It's just the cost of doing business (boating).
Well for starters the wife new nothing about the new whipple motor I put into it.
But what bothers me is I have an investment of $65k just sitting out at a friends house not being used.
I know its just part of boating, But I think about the motor home that I could start with for that kind of money & travel with my boys more often.

Do you also own a 4x4??? If so when was the last time you "locked" it in???
You need not to work so much and enjoy those things that you have worked for... :notam:
It is nice to have all the work and money that may come with itbut take the tme to enjoy your boat

There's no reason you can't spend quality time with them in the boat, just as well as in an RV, Get the boys a wake board and some stroke mags.
