Ive been shopping around for a new double roller timing set for my motor and have seen some being sold for 68-71 and then some for 72 up. whats the difference? i thought it was just the retarded timing deal. im kinda unsure what year my engine is, thats why im asking. it has d3ve-a2a heads and i thought those didnt come around till 73.

If you would like the best timing chain that I have found so far it is a Rollmaster that is the brand name. Both the top and bottom gear are billet not cast like the comp cams or others. The price is about $70 to $100 if I remember right, I got mine from Engine Systems you should be able to get one from any shop that caries Blue Thunder products. Here is a link to Engine Systems look under the timing components section. You can also order a line bore block set if you have had your block line bored.
