Thread: thermostat and O/T header plumbing

I want to put a thermostat in my boat but I don't want to mess up the header injection system either, it works good right now except for the cruising temp is very low and it begins to overheat at idle. I was thinking of just installing a rpm activated solenoid or something instead of that T-valve, Any suggestions???

Here are three ways to plumb your system. In 98.9% of the systems they work better without a thermostat.

Banderlog valve. Thats what it is. It goes off RPM.

Here is another diagram, although I can't remember where it came from originally. If I'm not mistaken, Squirtin' Thunder had a link to it in an earlier post a little while back. I saved it for reference purposes. Hope it helps ya!
