When I walk around the pit`s I see all those prop guys working after every round but I see the jet guys standing around telling jokes about prop boats http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif "Buy a jet and run all summer" "Buy a V-Drive and work on it every time you want to go out and play with the jet guy`s" http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif
I donno about that Mr. RR1/001, When I'm at the races every one with a fast boat is trying to go even faster. They are working on their boats. The jet guys are changing shoes and adjusting ride plates. They are doing all kinds of things. Downloading the computer. You should watch Jim Lee when the Riskey Biz boat get back to the pit. He's busy. It's part of it. Unless of course your happy running under 80 mph and in the 13 sec club. The above boat is an unblown / no nitrous 500" deal that runs in the low to mid 7's @ over 140 mph. Going that fast you better check everything between rounds. Those covers are nice too. My flat had one and if I was racing a jet with a nice paint job it would have one too. Now if I was running a 13 sec dock beater I might skip that expense and get my crew some chicken wings instead. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

I am not buying it at all SD, I think you use us for the high entertainment factor that some certain individuals, that shall remain nameless, create when they show up. But the love thing was a nice touch... lol

Superdave, it's funny you mention Jim Lee and the Risky Business boat.
First, Keith Zellmer had a nice work cover for his boat like the one on the flatty, and it was the first thing that went on the boat when it got back to the pits.
Second, on Saturday night of the May races, Jim and I were sitting around BS'ing over a few cold ones. I mentioned the fact that it seemed like all the jet guys got back to the pits and immediately hooked up the lap tops and downloaded the race data. At the same time, all the prop guys were hard at work, wrenches flying. He thought my comment was funny, but there was a lot of truth to it. Even more of the jet guys are running data loggers these days. It certainly gives them a more accurate base on which to determine necessary changes as well as the effectiveness of those changes. I can only assume that jets, with intake and bowl pressures to monitor, lend themselves to the data acquistion thing more readily. That or they are all a bunch of computer nerds http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif . Sorry Jim!
FLYTE RISK, I may be a jet owner, but I will admit to drooling over any cool piece of machinery, boat or otherwise. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif

Ok, you got me on that one ...LMAO.... When I get back to the pits I even check what my intake and bowl pressures are. Yes, even a 12.0 boat checks out what changes do what to the boat....lol... that`s what cost me the 1st place this weekend, I went the wrong way on set up and jumped the boat out of the water on the last 100ft. I`ll still take the 2nd because that put me in 1st place points..lol...
