Exactly right. In reality, jets can suck sand, rocks and debris off the bottom in close to 10 feet of water under the right conditions. I think I will just keep running mine in deep water if it's all the same.

I would think from his screen name he's located in the next country north of ours.

You guys seem to think that all jets are slow..how fast would your v-drives be with only 500 hp? could you hit 90?

Actually I know I can't do 90 mph but Jungle boys new set up can. As for drag racing I'd do great if the track was 100 yards long. As dave said five years of rivers, lakes, sand, rocks, mud and it still runs like the day it was bought with minor maintenance.
Comparing a 21 foot daycruiser to a flat? yep anyone should be able to figure which one is faster or more efficient.
Check out what the river racers run 100 plus with just over 600 hp, and these are marathon boats not ten second grenades.
You guys missed the point on jet drives they are safe fast and reliable, they will beat most boats on the lakes, out turn most boats out accelerate most boats and not cut up anything that gets near the drive, and if you have to fix them you won't need a bank loan

    Ney Now,
I did say under the right conditions and I didn't say what those conditions were. Maybe 10' is a little exagerated, but a margin of safety never hurt anyone. But you wont find me running my boat in 1' of water over a rocky bottom.
