I used to own a jet boat with a 454 and a berkeley jet and now currently own a v-drive with a 427. I must say that if you have a tanker truck at your house with 10,000 gallons of fuel then you should not buy a prop boat and buy a jet. My v-drive will go all day on 10 gallons. My jet would suck about 40. Also my v-drive pulls skiers out using about quarter throttle where as my jet I used to have to mash the throttle. Also my v-drive is much faster. I have found out that v-drives are a lot easier on engines since you dont have to be turning tons of RPM's just to go anywhere. To each his own I guess. If we all liked the same thing it would be boring. Just remember....We are ALL boaters! Lumpy

Because it is a pain in the ass to keep switching the prop between the boat and the weed wacker everytime you need to do yard work.
