With a pair of 300-hp Mercury outboards, Dave's Custom Boats' Mach 22 has the speed to blow away just about anything.
Guys who own boats with roaring supercharged or twin turbocharged big-blocks don't take kindly to getting passed by speedsters with screaming outboards.
If the outboards happen to be twin Mercury Hi-Performance 2.5 Drag SS motors and they're bolted to the transom of a Dave's Custom Boats Mach 22, those big-block guys won't have much choice except to go down valiantly in defeat. The Mach 22, you see, was the fastest boat at our little shindig, wringing
down the Parker strip section of the Colorado River at 124.2 mph on Stalker radar. That's six mph faster than the closest blown big-block-powered boat in our fleet.
