This reminds me of the past. The 19 DAYTONA was originally made in 1974.

And Still to this day that is a sick A$$ boat!
i had a '91 with a 2.5 o/b, no center sponson, all kevlar layup. it would do an honest 96mph and it was so quick and sooooo much fun i had to get rid of it b4 it got rid of me. my friends all called the boat "killer" for good reason.my dealer told me it is the toughest daytona to drive because things happen sooooo quick. the 22' i have now is a piece of cake to handle compared to the 19, but doesn't get near the looks and questions the 19 did. it is still the original ***boat!
Bought ours brand new for 28K in 98. Guy took delivery, but wife wouldnt go in it. 60K the way it is now,.
Before I bought my boat.I priced out a 2005 21 with no motor.Came to 44,000+Tax and lic.
I have a 1979. This is the second time I've owned the boat. Man, they are one of the funnest boats to drive at least for me. Someone told me Eliminator charges a pretty good price for them new because they take up valuable space in the shop while being built.
I'll take the Daytona over a V any day.

Nice 21 Dave. Tried convincing the other half to let me take the cover off, but with our kid, she refused the offer.
