    Thinking Of Building A 440..its A 455 Block With A 428 Crank..any Of You Know Anything About This Set Up??is There A Better Combo???i Read A Few Write Ups But Just Wonder What You Guys Think???or Have Parts???

    they run good. my old boss had 1 in a 65 goat with a crossram and it kicked butt. With the heads that you can get nowdays they are even better. There used to be a NASH manifold that worked well but was hard to find even in 1980. Edelbrock probably has a Victor for them now. Its all research and money to make them run good.

    from what I understand a 60 over 400 block is the killer motor. I know with a little machining you can drop a 421/428 crank in of those to give you a 1/4 in more stroke. I have seen a few 600 hp .060 over 400 with the stock cranks and ported heads. Plus if you go that route you can get parts. or hell you could always build a 455 torque monster.
