Maiden voyage on my 1998 Shockwave Step Skier with a Bravo 1 drive. Noticed a clicking noise when I turned the wheel 3/4 to 1 turn passed straight in either direction. Do I have an issue here?

Sounds like the u-joint needs to be rebuilt. Not a big deal if you catch it before it breaks.

Recommend you look at your U-Joints or Gimbel Bearing.
You have to take the drive off anyway, so have both the u-joints and
the bearing changed. It is good insurance.

Mine has always "clicked" a little.
Seems that when I get it back from a service it stops for awhile, but after the 1st few hours there's a clicking when your idling and have the wheel at any aggressive angles. Been in a few other boats and noticed it as well, so I just kind of assumed loud U - Joints were the norm on a bravo.
