Question for you Chet. Why would someone who lives in Southern California such as myself or 77charger send out pumps out for repairs to a shop with a good name, but we still can't see any of there work in person? I chose MPD for a few reasons. 1) The fast boats that ran at Lost Lake where I grew up going to the river all used MPD. 2) Most of the fast jets at the NJBA races when I was a kid all used MPD. 3) When I bought my boat, I just happen to work a street over from where MPD is located, thus making it very easy for me to go over, ask questions, see other projects, and meet other boaters. Not only have I recieved great pump work, I also was introduced to Dave at DNE an engine builder 2 doors down who works with Jack when setting up drag boats. I think having a pump and engine builder, both with proven fast boats at the races, and both work together, and both in the same complex, and both right next to my work, it would be silly of me to send my pump to anyone else.
Now do you see why I use them. I can understand if you had to ship your pump out regardless, you would choose the closer shop to save on shipping. So do us all a favor, stop talking smack about recommending MPD when all you do is recommend Aggressor when you haven't even called Jack, but I have called Dave.
So shut up, this is the oldest, dumbest, thread topic and everyone including myself are sick of it. So give it up.
BTW, Mr. Tom Papp ran a Berkeley bowl at the NJBa races. Let's see what he runs at the next race.
here are a few photos for you.

Kind of neat with an Aggressor sticker on the hull, but running a Berkeley bowl.
