BBC engine rotation?

What is the standard rotation of a 454 BBC. clockwise or counterclockwise when looking at the engine from the front? Thanks

counter from the front... but standard is observing rotation at the flywheel *

Are you sure. Is a BBC different than an olds. I think they are the same which would be counter clockwise looking from the rear. This impeller picture will show how it has to rotate.
