Wanted you guys in the know to give me your opinion on Sanger jets. Early 80's w/BBC,Berkeley pump. Still has the ride plate AND a Place diverter. What do you think of the ride at speed and the general hull const? Was not impressed with the Marlin I had last summer, so I was wanting to go to a better hull, is this it? Thanks a ton.

My friends got a mint mid 70's Sanger Super Jet> ( Bat wing hull).
The things a rocket, very well built and solid as a rock...BUT...when cruising around at 3000 rpm it is the roughest riding boat I've EVER been in! :hammerhea

Now I have a Sanger Custom Sprint Jet and it rides great. I handled the shit chop and the hudge rolers of the channel between the sand bar and speed alley no problem !!! If you do a serch you may find a thread that shows the difference between the two !!! To make an acurate determination of your hull in question need to know exactly which one it is !!!

What is the difference between a super jet, custom sprint jet or any other 18 foot sanger jet? Are these the same as a "bubble deck". Thank you for the help.

The bottoms are same design (double concaved) but the Sprint has more deadrise. The bow on the Sprint is 10" longer. The Super has 3" more freeboard. Also the Sprint has a narrow rear like a vdrive.

Looking at the gunnels, its easy to see the differance between the two. But the bottoms also look differant to me.
