hey, just lookin for some advice on a resto. Im doing on a 18 ft sleekcraft.
How much performance will I gain by adding full length stringers and whats the best method for doing so?

it may be less expenseve and a lot cheeper to get another hull sleekcraft isn't exactly the highest quality
Sleeks tend to be very heavy. Without full length stringers hook is pretty much inevitable.

could you be a little more specific about why you think sleekcraft's dont have a very good hull?
I've restored 2 Sleekcraft jets and was real pleased with both boats. They are a little on the heavy side, not real fast hulls, but mine were both real solid and rot free. I still have one and we use it for the "shop boat", the guys that work at my shop maintain it and get to use it on the weekends. If your starting with a sound hull, seems to me, the quality of the boat will be up to you and your restoration work. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif Have fun working on it and post some pics of your progress.

I guess it cant be to heavy, carries the nose pretty good with the old (weak) 455 olds.
