Question for all you Duramax Owners?
I have abrand new 05 HD on 37" toyo mud grapplers. Stock engine. I can bairly make it to Havasu with out running out of gas. This is roughly 250 miles from Corona. My dash says that I get 9.1MPG. What are some of you getting on your trucks?

    Shawn...
You must have a short bed...they have a smaller tank than the long beds...I can make it from OC to Havasu pulling a 7000+ boat on 1 tank....I usually average 11-12 mpg while towing...
Not pulling and keeping it under 80....I usually get 16-17 mpg....
04 Dually Crew Cab Long bed, 4x4 with 235's instead of the stock 215's...

Sounds like our H2 with the 20's and 37" nitto terra graplers!
It takes us a full tank and a half to make it into Havasu pulling our boat.
How is Adam Diaz doing over there?

Not towing, I usually get around 15 on trips. I drove to Vegas (from Phoenix) about a month ago and got 15-16 and I don't drive her easy. I would drive between 75-95 the entire way.
Towing the boat or toy hauler, I have found that if I drive around 65 MPH, I can get 9.5 MPG or so. I like to get places faster, so at 75-80 MPH, it drops to the 7 MPG range or so.
    I have 325/60R20 tires, about a 33" tire.
Someone makes a 40+ gallon fuel tank that replaces the stock one on our trucks. It is about $1000, but I think you know some people.

I drove home from Havasu 75-95 the entire way and at the most it said 9.1.
We will see if the exhaust will help with this?

Have you calculated it yourself (not using the computer). I have heard that they can be wrong fairly often.
