That's why we choose the Avi for this event. they have a very nice beach and cove there also. Plus it's down river from all of the other casinos and the dam, so anyone has engine trouble they can float back.

Jas, That picture sure makes it look alot bigger than it really is http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif one thing you might want to think about for the participants of this event that dont know the area very well is a map of the sandbars between the Avi and the casino's, there are only a couple and should be easy to put together. Only suggesting this for safty reasons. By the way you can count on myself and Fufu to be there

    Jason,
AVI would make a good place for this jet boat regatta. I sure hope its in July or Aug. that water is cold.

I think that the just jets regatta would be bigger if they advertised it like they should. I heard about it after it was over and I was pissed so I said if there is ever another one I am going. Still I have never heard of anything though.

    Brent,
You're in luck, its August 10th and 11th. That ought to be plenty warm :-) Feel free to email myself admin@liquidaddiction.net or Jason Jason@rivertoys.com for more information.
    Thanks,

Count me in for sure. As soon as someone get some firm dates, and the place where all of us should be staying, let everyone know...the sooner the better. -DD out

Again, The "Official" notification and ALL of the information will be posted on most of the major message boards very soon (w/i a few days). A webpage will be created with all of the information you'll need. There'll also be an online RSVP form (I'm over half finished with it now). Based on the returns from that form, we'll decide if t-shirts will be offered also.
Hustler, you probably know the Bullhead channel better than me, would you be interested in helping us with that map? If the water is up (meaning after about 10-11am) there shouldn't be a problem for anyone, but it wouldn't hurt.
The water temp is not bad at all down at the Avi, it's probably - 10-12 miles down river of the Dam (where the water the coldest). Air temp should be 110+ anyway.
Feel free to email Chris admin@liquidaddiction.net or Jason Jason@rivertoys.com for more information.

Count us in too. I know this stretch of the river well and could give a few pointers. The water depth is not usually a problem from April to August. The releases are significant.

I live here in Laughlin so that's why I suggested here as a location.RiverCrazy is right, from April-August the river is so high you couldn't hit anything if you tried!!The Avi has a nice beach and is not too far down river to cruise up to the"Strip" and to Davis Dam.The best part is south of the Avi where the East bank is lined with sandy beaches.I would like to check out that one,but would also like to have a gathering in May or sometime earlier. It doesn't even have to be an"official"event!Sounds like there are a few V-drive guys and some stern drive jockeys interested so we'll let them buy a pass if they buy us a beer!!!My Email addy is highroller@laughlin.net so if anyone is interested in something like this drop me a line.Let me know where you live, what your ride is and how to contact you and we'll go from there.

    HIgh Roller,
I know you are trying to be nice, but if you brought your jet boat to the v-drive regata @ Bluewater they would treat you like a "red headed step child". Jet BOats owners & V-drive owners are like water & oil they dont mix. The JUST JETS REGATTA was fun and it was Jets only.
