I doubt it. There is no "road tax" added to avgas, so technically it's illegal. Usually, people won't mind. Filling a container is fine. If anyone asks, just tell them your boat tanks are your container.
Tell them you dont plan to drive the boat on the road

By the way, ya know, 100LL is not that good of fuel. It is oxygenated like regular pump fuel, so by most AV engine builders, it is not considered 100 octane anymore. Our builder took our engine to 400HP from 300. He said to be cautious with it, since AV fuel is not what it used to be. Plus, it's designed for steady, constant RPM engines so it has a slower burn rate. If you really want to be looking out for your 1200HP motor, I would be running real auto race fuel designed for it. You would see better performance. Just some info if you want it.
I never could understand the whole "road tax" thing on boat fuel. It should be like buying red dye diesel for your tractor, hi-way tax free. The trailer goes down the hi-way behind my truck and has its own license plate. But the boat never touches the road. What's up with this??? :lightsabe
