Bigkat,Thanks for the info. I went out and did some measuring and this is what I have found. The recess under the boat for the plates only extend 4" from the transom. Not possible to put in two rows of bolts. Second the gap between the two plates is 11 1/2" . Sure I could redo the bottom to accommodate a wider and longer plate but is doing all of that work going to make alot of difference in a 70mph family cruiser?
the continental was built by speed & marine assoc. in orange. we changed the name of the boats to silverwing, when we did the silverwing 27' and 34,, that we sold to hallett back in 1987. jim wilkes is still building the 20' silverwing tunnel.
