Lake Isabella - Last Weekend

We scouted out Lake Isabella last weekend. I don't remember the water that high and the river is flowing in Kernville. A lot of campgrounds are partially closed due to the water level.
My sister and brother in-law are new boat owners and invited us up to join them, it was a great time for the whole family. Boating, tubing and watching the kids fish

Wow! That's no mudhole! It looks great. Any problems with stumps or other underwater hazards?
How were the temps for camping? Does it cool off at night?

Watch out for your prop... I ripped mine off in the middle of the lake there.

You are right it is no mud hole this year the water is high and most obstacles are under deep enough to be safe. We probably have another month or two before we start seeing the trees sticking out. I find it best to get out when calm and look at area you will be boating. We staed at Tillie Creek which is up near Kernville, headed towards the dam no problems at all :wink:
Temps were around 100 last weekend and very comfortable at night.

A few years ago, I lost one on my old outboard :hammerhea water was way down
Last weekend there was a boat sitting on a trailer missing it's outdrive that was my first thought, It had a big motor with a 10-71 on top. When I asked, he ripped off with to much HP. Stok OUTDRIVE and 1,000HP motor do not mix :hammerhea
