After 1.5 yrs on a old whipple system running MEFI-1 electronics, the guy that built the motor & whipple system did not put a thermostat in it.
So consequently it see's no real heat in the engine. 100 degrees at idle & 125 degrees after running it hard, is all she will build heat wise.
I come from the old school where heat helps build horsepower, so whats your guys oppinions.

I have the whipple's and rarely ever see anything over 100degree
water temp.

I E-mailed Whipple today, they say the water temps are fine, the cooler the better.
I worry about condesation & not enough heat to get rid of it, & getting the oil milky, which has not happen yet, just call me a worry wart, just want my investment to last as long as it can.
I never get any condensation. The oil get plenty warm when on a good run.

I ran about 10 deg. warmer than usuall over the 4th because the air temp and the water temp. I've got closed cooling and a 160 thermostat. The engine ran at about 175-180 deg. I'm gonna put a 145 thermostat in to try to target 160 temps. I've never had any problems with condensation .....yet....
