This boat is right out of the 50's, a classic! Gordon ran it with the nostalgia circle boats a couple of years ago.
I you want a blast from the past this is it!

Built in 1957 with a Buick Nailhead. $6000.
There are some other really neat boats for sale from the same place.

It appears to be a Glen-L Tornado kit design.

Good call, that's what I was thinking. Pretty cool old boat, like the Buick.
I know a guy living in Havasu in his 60's, along with a buddy he bought a new '64 Howard. He told me they paid something like $1950 for it, wanted a FE 427 but had to settle for the nailhead 'cause they couldn't afford the extra $250 for the FE. :rollside: :rollside:

Yea! That's like not being able to afford the extra $25,000+ today to go Pfaff or Sterling or something over a Mercruiser 496 in your new bling-bling cat. What a difference 40 years makes......
That's a cool boat! It's got a nice aggressive looking nose/bow.
I just scored on a complete Pontiac Edelbrock marine set-up. Now I'm looking for a in-line dual quad set-up to make a psuedo factory 421SD looking set-up to swap into my 68 Rayson Craft v-drive.
If it can't be the fastest it might as well be one of the coolest.

Great idea. That's why I like having an FE 427. Different.
Transom looks like a Glen-L but it is definetely NOT a Tornado, not even close!..

Radamaker, I believe is the man who made a hand full of these. This one was in a garage near Seattle since the 60s undercover. The story goes that the imfamous Bill Muncey had some part in its history. He either raced it or had a hand in its creation. Another similar boat with Pontiac power appeared at Tastin Racin last year. I also had a Muncey flat bottom 30 years ago but it was an outboard. A lot of the hardware has his name imbossed or cast into it. I dont know which piece since its been 2 years since Gordon cruised our Moses Lake course. It is in the Nosties video that V-drive Video has for sale. It now resides near the Tri Cities area of Washington State. Gordon: 509 588 4189
