i know this has been asked in a million threads but here it goes again.where do you guys start with the ride plate angle?i can't find any threads that show pics of how to do it.i'm installing my first shoe kit this coming week and kinda confused on how you guys gauge the 2 degree thing.it's an e-pump and i've read all the install threads and pics i can find here but haven't seen anything on angling the plate.2 degree up or down?2 degree angle compared to what?i'm a dummy, so if anybody can remember a thread on this, help a newbie out.

I'll take pictures of the correct way to do it and post them by the morning for you ... I've also looked and don't see any actual pics ...

First take a 4ft level or straight edge and put it on the keel line down the middle of your boat bottom. The biting edge of the shoe should be 1/8 inch above the keel line. put a digital level on the level and raise or lower the boat till it's level. then put the digital level on the rideplate. The back of the ride plate should be up approx 3 1/2 degrees. now you have a basic setup. Use your GPS meter and your seat of the pants to tell you when your boat is the fastest and handles the best. Good Luck Budlight ps. Make shims to lower shoe or ride plate at rear plate support to pump.

If you have an electronic level, it makes the ride plate much easier to adjust.
The keel line( bottom centerline in front of the pump intake) of the boat becomes 0* reference. Place level on the ride plate and raise the plate until the level reads 2*. One end of the ride plate is fixed to the pump and/or shoe, the other end is adjusted either raising (bring the plate closer to the pump) or lowering (further away from the pump).
Alot of variables determine the best position of the plate. Maybe someone can post some pictures for you. Hope this helps!

the shoe has to be adjusted or machined.it looks like a horseshoe at that back of the pump intake, sticks down to scoop or direct water into the intake and loads the impellor.someone correct me if i'm wrong.still learnin! :hammerhea

Pay no attention to the bottom of the boat or placment. I had to do an extensive amount of bottom work to correct some factory issues..
The shoe is the aluminum pieace at the back of the intake. the rear most edge should start 1/8" above the keep line. You can lower it (deeper in the water by unbolting it and adding shims under it

But when you have a HTP E-pump shoe and ride plate it is a bit different.
