I had an 01 supercrew and never had to turn the rotors with 60k on them.
hey got 17000 miles on a 2004 f 150 and the dam rotors are so warped that i have to have em turned all ready.......ford says its not a common problem.....anyone else had this come up? they seem to all know about it just from a phone call.......seems fishie to me

My '04 F150 is fine. I've got 47k miles and haven't had a problem. It probably is time to change the brakes though huh?
Ford is notorious for poor braking performance. I had an 01 supercrew and changed the brake pads about every 16-18K miles. I finally put a high performance brake kit on it. I put 51K miles on it before I traded it in for my new HD.
Here is a comparison, buddy of mine bought an 01 Chevy Silverado in Jan, of 01. I bought my F150 in May of 01. I changed my brake pads 3 times and he never once changed his pads. Still had meat on them when he traded in his truck a few months ago. Both of us tow boats................go fugure.
My brother has had the same issue on his 04 supercrew, they did warranty it though with all new rotors and pads
they turned mine and it is good now and it was underwarrenty also thanks
I have 30,000 miles with no problems so far.
Just had my 04 F-150 30K service. Brakes still have 95% of the pads left. Mechanic said no warping in the rotors.
You're supposed to take it in at 30k? uh oh :hammer2:
my ole man has an 05' his rotors are warped too.. and my grandpa has an 04'.. same problem as well i think.
