How do they deal with the MW links to each car as they go round? Is it some sort of an omni feed instead of the standard directional MW shot?

A helicopter is used as a microwave repeater so there's a direct shot from the cars, the copter sends the signal back to the truck on the ground, the microwave receivers in the truck have auto-tracking antennas to follow the copter.

So, I have to know. Who dictates which cameras are used at any moment during the race? I know they have spotters for wrecks and good action, but who makes the call and how does it get done so fast? I always am amazed watching a baseball game where the pitcher starts to wind up while the 3rd base cam is watching, and then the center field camera cuts in just in time to see the delivery of the pitch.
So, I have to know. Who dictates which cameras are used at any moment during the race?

Its called modern technology, kinda funny concept......
the Director calls the camera shots. Thay'll have, say 8-10 tv's in front of them then they call out "camera 2! Camera 7!" etc.
