Interesting take on the accelerometer. I'd still be curious as to how it well it would work in a boat.
    From the Gtech site
The gtechpro family of products do not work on boats. We are very clear about that on our website. Accelerometer technology is not able to produce accurate results with boats, that is why most products for boats are GPS based.
Cool units though.......gtechpro (http://www.gtechpro.com/) and some decent info in the forums.......gtech forums (http://www.gtechproforums.com/forums/index.php?)

Thanks for the link to the Gtech forums. Found this interesting when searching for "use on a boat" in the forums.
Can it be used in a jetboat? (http://www.gtechproforums.com/forums...ead.php?t=1086)
I am assuming the answer is from someone with Gtech.
