Hello every one,
Just wanted to give you an update on what the NJBA has considered at the “Rules Change Meeting”
Point 1 Sandbagging question. Should the NJBA allow it or not?
There are good arguments on both sides of this fence and it has it merits on both sides!
The long term members and some short term members feel that the rule should stay as it is because this is what made NJBA different from the other clubs.
On the other hand, some feel that you canÂ’t beat a great tuning job and reaction time to cut a good light and run your number.
In this example, the “fender racer” should loose be cause the the tuned boat will run its number every time and the fender racer will only get lucky some of the time.
Point 2 “Throttle Linkage over travel” or is it “Throttle Travel control” The wording on this rule will be adjusted and the members input on the wording was very helpful in making the difference in how this rule will be adjusted.
:argue:
Point 3 CID of 565 engines.
The proposed change was to raise the cid to 572. The argument was that most boat owners have engines that exceed 565 in their boat and if we want to enlarge our boat count we need to up the cid. Point well taken!
Other complaints about Kern County Parks Fees are what they are – Fees the NJBA can’t control, but we are doing our best to read and adjust individual wrongdoings as they appear.
People, remember, WeÂ’re on your side, tell us what you need and if we move too slow, come and show us how too.
River Racers,
Just a reminder to our new race who will be full racer next year, and qualify for points and record setting Et’s and track speed records – The entry fees are reduced by $50 if your fees are received 8 days before the scheduled race date.
