    Hey I need some help!!!!
I have 1979 18' Sanger Superjet with a blown BBC, VERY CLEAN and needless to say a lot of cash invested in her. I am looking for boat insurance (Declared Value) I am having trouble because of the excessive HP and the over the transom exhaust headers. I live in San Jose, California. Does anyone know of a company will issue a policy for me???
    Thanks

Call Al Thompson at Performance Insurance Specialist. He is a broker that deals with a company that has been insuring out type of boats for 30 years. They hooked me up after I was denied multiple times. No superchargers though. I have OT pipes and one carb. 805-331-8590

Sorry, it would help if I did more than scan your post. Too much Cuervo! Good luck, but I don't think it is going to happen. I only say that because it was a nightmare for me trying to get insurance. I almost did not buy the Miller as a result. If you can't find insurance be careful out there.

If you don't mind me asking about how much a year? Is there any hoops you had to jump through? Thanks

Would love to see some pics of your ride. Slightly partial to the Sangers.

I had to pay a full payment of $535 for a year coverage. That is for the boat pictured under my screen name. No hoops, but that is for only $8,000 worth of coverage. I have to get the boat surveyed for additional coverage. The boat is worth more, but it was located about 6 hours away from where I lived. I wanted to have it insured for the drive home, but that was the most i could get without a survey. I figured it would be easier to have it surveyed @ home, instead of trying to coordinate an out-of town survey. Glad I got home safely!
