Thread: CARB SPACERS ?

    ANYBODY HAD ANY EXPEARANCES WITH THESE SPACERS? THEY CLAIM TO PRODUCE 5 TO 15 HP.

    It's a good idea to install a carburetor spacer for many reasons. One is that it acts like a tunnel ram in a sense. It provides more air volume to help the fuel atomize easier, and also if the material being used in the spacer is non-metalic meaning plastic polymer or wood, it provides protection from the heat coming off the manifold, so your carburetor isn't acting like a heatsink.

    how thick of spacer should you use?

    as thick as you can 2" 4 hole.

    i use a 1/2"spacer which is good for 100hp.(nos) but really a 1" spacer might work out too it all varys but i dont think you will feel a 5-10 hp difference but it helps.It takes about 25hp to bring 100 rpm.
