roost. It is a VERY good running motor, I picked it up from old rigger. It is stock out of a 68 t-bird ...
    '65 interceptor.
Taken out of a then new cop car that was wrecked with less than 10,000 miles on it and put in a brand new Buck Smith flat botom.
I still have the very rare intake manifold from the boat. 058 told me the history behind it but I don't remember the details. It's a alum fomoco part and the carb flange is off center and to one side by about 1 inch.
Also kept the holly carb that was on the boat that came off a brand new wrecked '66 big block vette.
Someday someone will need this stuff.

Rich, if your back's up to the ride, come on over and check this thing out. My schedule is open for the next week and a half
BTW, I managed to kill the engine today.... cheap ass 37 year old coils......
Just another item to put on the Summit order. They're gonna lose their ass on the freight of this order......

Don, if he wants to sell the engine, nows the time....my #2 piston is sitting .020 ABOVE the deck, and I can either rebuild this, or pick up another engine. Kinda need to know asap.

    Hey Roost,
I was going through some stuff in the garage last night and came across some gaskets that I have left over for an FE. It was a kit I bought from summit I think, head gaskets, intake, exahust, pan and so on. If you're in my neck of the woods, stop by and you can have them... if you want 'em

It's been a great day! The cast came off my arm, and even as white, sore and atrophied as it is, life is good. The wheels came today too! Makes a big difference to the overall look. I still have to get the fenders, then the tires so I can set them for the "right" look.

My machinist is getting me a matching rod so I can reassemble the 390, so the engine won't use up all my project cash.

you need to put a set of 40's ford pick up fenders on that trailer just to confuse people

So a flatbottom with a jet nozzle hangin' off the transom won't confuse people enough?

Props to National Crank for having and resizing a C1ae-b connecting rod for me. The heads and intake go in tomorrow for some freshening and porting (OK, I couldn't resist), so after we get back from the riv in a week or two, the 390 is ready to go back together. Hopefully, I'll be bringing a rebuilt pump back with me too. If I hauled ass, I could water test this thing in a few weeks. :rollside:
