Do they work on stock powerplants or do you need tons of horsepower for them to really be effective? I have a 22' with a 454 that has 365+ hp. What do you think?

It'll work. You need all the help you can get with a sled that big.

It might work but you still won't be able to keep up with that purple flame boat from this past weekend.

They drag at lower speeds. My boat didn't like the droop at all. Borrow one and try it before you buy.
