If the boat doesn't sink..........I think you need the 1.62 gear and at least a 30" or 32" prop.
Why in the world would you put that beast on a light weight tunnel?
Looking to have some fun with a 19' Mirage. With a 300 Pro Max, what kind of prop will get us the best top speed? The low end power we should not have a problem with. What do you thank about a Mazco RE 4 @ 34 pitch?

I have the pro max and 21 liberator. it looks like i have the boat sold so i have the motor left over. I would like the quickest boat around. Just working with what i have and enjoying
With a tail heavy boat the last thing you should run is a 4 blade round ear prop with bow lift. 3 blade cleaver will be the setup. Biggest pitch you can find should work 34-36. The 300 is a lazy, low rpm engine that will have lots of top end with a big prop. Just don't drag race anyone. Readers rides in Hot Boat just showed that same setup.

I would like the quickest boat around. Put a 2.5L Drag motor on it if you want the quickest boat around. As Brad Zastrow said, the pro max is a lazy motor for low RPM. Good Luck!
