How many thousandths equal a degree? The reason I ask is becasue when I set my new intake it made the transom bolts move up. They raised .473 from the origional location.

If you set back the intake, you can't make any references between the old setup and the new one as the angles won't be relevant to anything. Dragboats explanation above is the nitty gritty of it. If you're just trying to see what angle it was set at before, don't worry about it. If you are trying to figure out what angle it is now set at, take the measurements based on the bottom of the boat as discussed in an earlier thread.
