I have 2 sets of 3 blade cleavers 30 pitch and 28 pitch. I've only ran the boat with the 30's so far, The boat seems to have quite a bit of bottom end and mid range pull, so I figured that the 28's would give me more bottom end (which I dont need) so I haven't tried them out. So I looked closer at the prop's and noticed that 1 set are labbed merc. 14.5 x 30(which are on the boat now) and the other set are mazco 15 x 28. My question is this......... the 28's technically should spin the rpm's higher and produce more bottom end, but the 28's are a 1/2 in bigger than my 30 pitch merc's, so will 1/2 inch make a difference? and spin more like the 30's? Or will the 1/2 inch not make any difference at all?
I know this may sound like a dumb question and I should just put them on and go see for myself, but things have been a little busy and i figured that the boat didn't need more bottom end. BTW the motors are 97' 225 EFI pro max's with sportmaster lowers. im getting 6300 rpm WOT trimmed out.
