Anybody ever rebuilt their drive trim rams? Mine drip oil, the drive doesn't drift down at all but they have both been leaking for ..oh about 2 years now. I ordered the rebuild kits and they are sitting in my tool box but before I tear into them does anybody know if there's any special tools to do this? the kit just looks like some o rings and a gasket. I'm tired of the small oil slick in the back of my garage.

They are leaking at the shaft seals? Not at the cap to housing? The small round holes in the cap are there to receive the pins of a "spanner wrench". That is the special tool that you will need for this job. You could probably make one out of some metal rod and a plate of metal. Try your local tool stores, they are 'almost common' these days. Don't forget to use the small copper/ gold colored wire clips!
