I have an STV River Rocket w/2.5 Merc and am having trouble getting insurance. They say it is too small and too fast. I don't think it is small. Indmar-NO, Markel-NO.
anyone got a line on this?

Call Tena at Strachota Ins. here in Havasu. (928) 854-8808. The only problem you may have is that all STV's are "rated" for 175hp, becuase they are under 20'. If your motor is a real 2.5, then it is advertised by it's manufacturer as 245, 260, 280, or 300hp. If it's a warmed over fishing motor you shouldn't have any trouble.
